Principles for the Use of Non-protein-nitrogen and 'bypass' Proteins in Diets of Ruminants
نویسنده
چکیده
The apparent inefficiency of ruminants compared with monogastric animals in utilising protein rich feeds has been used as an argument to emphasise the importance of monogastric animals in preference to ruminants for meat production. Recent studies however (see Preston & Willis, 1970 ; flrskov, Fraser, McDonald & Smart, 1974 ; Kempton & Leng, J-976 ), have indicated that with correct balancing of digestible nutrients, ruminants given feed of apparently variable quality can grow at rates much greater than those generally reported ($rskov, 1976). These results have been achieved with approximately 50 70% of the usual recommended requirements for protein in a diet. Ruminants are therefore potentially highly efficient users of protein feeds under a variety of agricultural situations, including the utilization of low protein by-products of agro-industries.

The Effects of Use Medicinal Plants on Rumen Fermentation Parameters in Ruminants
Rumen is a persistent and specific ecosystem consists of bacteria, protozoa and fungus where feed fermentation takes place in it. Produced Hydrogen in rumen can be used in the synthesis of the volatile fatty acids and the microbial protein and its excess would be eliminated through the production of Methane by methanogenesis. Nutritionists have tried to find ways to decrease loss and energy and...

DVE2010 system was used for model prediction of nutrient supply to ruminants from soy bean meal (SBM), extruded soy bean meal (SBE) and full-fat soybean meal (FSBM). Extruded soy bean meal had the highest truly absorbed rumen undegraded protein in the small intestine (ARUP) followed by SBM and FSBM. There was no significant difference between SBE and FSBM in the case of truly absorbed rumen syn...

Background and purpose: Evaluation of the quality of food proteins has a great importance from of biological and economical perspectives. That is why, biological, microbiological, chemical and integrated methods have been used and introduced for determining the quality of Proteins. Among exsisting methods, NPR, RNPR and TPD have been suggested as appropriate methods to determine the quality o...
متن کاملUtilization and Addition Sugars to Ruminants Rations
Responses to sugars in dry or liquid formvary from study to study. When fed in proper amounts, sugars should not depress ruminalpH, and there is some evidence that they actuallyhelp toprevent a drop in pH after consuming largemeals of concentrate by maintaining a highernumberoflactate-fermenting bacteria. Adding sugars doesprioritize the need for rumen degraded protein (RDP).we all know, sugars...
